Study Abroad in Israel | Seelio

In summer, 2013 I traveled to Israel on a 3-week study abroad trip to research religious studies, experience Middle Eastern culture, and work on an archaeological dig at Bethsaida. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I learned a great deal about others and myself. Every day, I was put into a new situation or faced a new challenge; because of this, I learned how to communicate and respond to others with different backgrounds and beliefs than mine. My experiences in Israel pushed me to cross the intercultural boundaries that so many fear stepping over. I was able to communicate effectively even with language barriers, absorb the country's culture while reflecting on my own upbringing and opinions, and form relationships that I continue to foster today.
