PBS MediaShift, “Hack the Gender Gap: A Women’s Hackathon on Wearables” was held to educate women about the wide range of opportunities in the technology industry. More than 50 women from WVU and other universities participated in the competition. Our team's design of a wearable that could help improve the health and wellness of women by tracking their bio-markers won first place and was seen as the most feasible.
