with Branden Clements, Lindsey Eldridge-Fox, Yun T Kim, Erika Lindsay, Justin Moyer The goal of the project was to provide a water collection system for off-grid housing in the Detroit area that showed rain's possibility for resource as well as spectacle. This was built specifically for the Powerhouse, a artist residency program in Hamtramck. Taking inspiration from plants, the Water(Lilly) monitors environmental conditions, and slowly and peacefully opens in anticipation of rain when humidity is over 90%. The Water(Lilly) is a stand-alone unit which attaches to a rain barrel and lights up at night to provide light to the exterior patio.
