"This project involves designing and convening a half-day event that brings together Ohio University students and leaders of local nonprofit organizations to create ideas for addressing hunger in our region.  This forum is being held in conjunction with community partners at the Athens Foundation and at Ohio University's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs.  Student groups will take on some portion of the responsibilities for planning the forum, recruiting participants, facilitating conversations at the forum, and evaluating the forum's success." - Dr. Black, Description of the Social Innovation Forum on Hunger Assignment.

I spearheaded the research effort in Phase 1 to discover current solutions of food insecurity in Athens. Through the different phases, I used my organizational skills to create and/or help create several useful documents for the project, including the contact list of community leaders, the survey we sent to them, a document summarizing the results of our research, a list of roles for students, an agenda for the forum, and the informational brochure. I also helped to write, produce and present the Prezi that kicked off the forum.
